Douglas Borthwick Appointed As CMO at INX Limited

INX LimitedGibraltar based crypto start-up firm INX limited has hired an FX sector industry veteran to serve as its new Chief Marketing Officer. The move was first made public by changes made to Douglas’s LinkedIn profile according to which he has started his new role at the firm earlier this month. In his new role as Chief Marketing Officer Douglas is based out of the firm’s office located in New York and is responsible for steering the firm’s marketing functions. Douglas is expected to manage and oversee several key tasks at the firm such as execution of the company’s brand strategy, product marketing efforts, corporate communications and digital marketing agenda. Prior to his current tenure at INX Limited, Douglas served as a Managing Partner at Marko Intelligence which provided consulting services relating to macro and forex financial markets

In his role as Managing Partner at Makro Intelligence Douglas was responsible for creation and handling sales plans for the firm’s FX, crypto and fintech clients from major markets across te firm’s clients located in US, Europe and Asian markets. Prior to Makro Intelligence, he served as managing director for Chapdelaine FX – a TP-ICAP Company for nearly 6 years.. Douglas has also held high level leadership and management roles at Faros Trading LLC, Standard Chartered Bank, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. Douglas is an industry veteran with nearly 18 years of experience in financial services industry having started as an analyst at Lehman Brothers back in January 1992. Douglas started his career post graduating with a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from Carnegie Mellon University and he also obtained an MBA in Financial Engineering from Yale School of Management post his term at Lehman brothers before joining Morgan Stanley as an Associate.

Douglas’s addition to the firm’s key managerial role comes at a time when the firm is trying to strengthen its position in global market and regulate activities in US market aiming to increase its footprint and market share in US cryptocurrency market. The firm hopes to leverage Douglas’ experience and strategic insight in traditional asset classes and trading and his contacts with global liquidity providers, corporate leaders and business associates in its expansion activities.  The Firm has even filled with US Securities And Exchange Commission (USSEC) to raise nearly US$ 130 Million through an initial public offering (IPO). The firm has also revealed its intention and plans to launch a cryptocurrency derivatives platform for trading futures, options and swaps, but the same remains pending as it it subject to an approval from US SEC and also a license to operate as broker-dealer.
