DigitalX Non-Executive Director Stephen Roberts Resigns from the Firm

DigitalXAs per recent announcement made by the firm DigitalX Ltd, Stephen Roberts who has been serving as one its Non-Executive Director has resigned from his role and cut ties with the firm. DigitalX ltd is an Australia based firm that deals with blockchain and crypto-asset related financial services. Robert’s resignation from the firm was announced to public via Australian Securities Exchange and was stated to be effective immediately. The statement also mentioned that the firm is now on lookout for and is in discussion with potential directors specifically those who have experience in fund management services and is knowledgeable about/has work experience with blockchain technology. The firm has mentioned that once a replacement candidate has been found, a public announcement will be made on same for market participants

Speaking about Stephen’s decision to resign from the firm, Peter Rubinstein – Non Executive Chairman of DigitalX commented, “The Company thanks Stephen for his efforts during his short time as a Director and wishes him well in his future endeavours”. Robert served as Non-Executive Director for DigitalX Ltd, for a very short period of just three months having joined the firm back in April 2019. However, Robert has a lot of experience in high level management roles having served in key managerial roles in capacity of Chair and Non Executive Director in various listed and private enterprises over the course of his career. Some of his most notable roles in his career include, Regional Chief Executive Officer and Senior Partner of Mercer Investments for Asia-Pacific market region. And prior to his tenure at Mercer, Robert served as Managing Director of Russell Investments in Australia.

As per biography information published in Reuters website, aside from above mentioned roles, Robert has also served in capacity of principal advisor to many large investment, superannuation and financial service firms. Based out of Australia, he has also chaired and served as a member of Audit, Risk & Finance, Remunerations & Nominations and IT & Digital Committees of many large corporations in the country.
