Torstone Technology, a leading player in post trade securities and derivatives processing service across global market has revealed the addition of new executive to its product team. As per statement released by the firm, it has onboarded Mr. David Pearson to serve as its new Product Manager effectively immediately. In his new role as member of product team at the firm, David will be based at the firm’s Head office in London, United Kingdom and focus on strengthening the firm’s product focus and delivery. The incoming executive is a seasoned veteran in financial services industry with 34 years of experience under his belt and has extensive knowledge in technology solutions with focus on workflow automation in front office and post trade space. He takes on his new role following a short stint as product strategy executive at Genesis Global Technology having served in the firm for one year. Prior to that, he spent the majority of his career serving in Fidessa – a UK based financial technology, data, analytics and investment management service provider.
David remained a part of the firm for more than 25 years during which he served in senior level leadership roles and was promoted twice during his tenure at the firm. He joined the firm as Head of New Business Marketing in May of 1994 and was responsible for product marketing activities for hosted services business unit in Europe and held the role for more than seventeen years. He received his first promotion in the firm in May of 2011 when he took on the role of Head of Hosted Business Development and was promoted yet again in fewer three years to the role of Head of Post Trade Strategy in June of 2013. He served as Head of Post Trade Strategy unit for more than six years until he parted with the firm in June of 2019. Mr. Pearson began his career as a Systems Programmer and Analyst in Data Sciences in April of 1987 after graduating with a Masters degree in Information Technology from University of Warwick in 1986. He finished his bachelor’s in geology in 1985 at University of London as per information in his LinkedIn account.
