CoInvestor Appoints Rob Ferguson As Chief Operating Officer

CoinvestorUK-based fintech company CoInvestor has announced the appointment of Rob Ferguson as its Chief Operating Officer strengthen the focus on innovation and customer service of the platform that digitizes alternative asset transactions for fund managers, investors and advisers.

 

Rob Ferguson, who is Director of the Board of the company since January 2017, joined CoInvestor from IG Group, where he was Chief Commercial Officer of IG Investments in London starting from February 2015. There he led a team of professionals to develop IG’s Smart Portolio “robo-advisor” service in partnership with BlackRock.

 

His 20 years’ experience working within software, financial and legal firms, include over two years as Partner at law firm Weil Gotshal and Manges, where he advised private equity and corporate clients on high yield bond offerings, IPOs, and other capital raising transactions.

 

Prior to Weil, Ferguson was Counsel at Shearman & Sterling, with offices in London, Tokyo, Singapore, and Toronto, where he advised clients on high yield bond offerings, IPOs and other capital raising transactions as well as corporate governance and compliance matters.
