Broadridge Appoints Ian Strudwick as General Manager and Head of Asia-Pacific

Broadridge Financial Solutions has appointed Ian Strudwick as General Manager and Head of Asia-Pacific (APAC), based in Singapore and reporting to Broadridge International President Samir Pandiri, the firm announced.

The industry veteran has 23 years of experience in the sector, including 16 years in leadership roles for global and regional teams across capital markets, trade finance, and business services.

He joins Broadridge from TD Securities, where he was most recently Managing Director and Head of Global Operations and Business Services for APAC.

Samir Pandiri, President of Broadridge International, said: “Financial businesses in Asia are grappling with trends around digitisation, mutualisation, and data and analytics while operating in times of increasing complexity. Capital markets present plenty of growth opportunities, but firms must also navigate increasing challenges from new regulations and market changes.”

“Ian joins at a transformational time for our clients in the region. They will benefit from his deep cross-market industry expertise, as Broadridge supports them in the adoption and application of next-generation technologies. We are delighted to have him on board as we continue our organic and acquisitive growth path both in Asia and globally.”

Strudwick will lead Broadridge’s expansion strategies in Asia and will be responsible for driving sustained growth of the firm in its key APAC markets of Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan, with ownership for Broadridge’s strategy and business development, implementation and execution in the region.

Ian Strudwick, General Manager and Head of APAC, commented: “Broadridge is a global firm at the forefront of innovative next-generation technologies and, as such, very well-positioned to support companies at a time when we are seeing an evolutionary leap in the speed of business technology adoption. I am excited to build on the customer-centric culture and lead the high-quality teams in Asia to help clients meet the moment by optimising operations and unlocking growth through Broadridge’s leading industry solutions.”

Broadridge has hired David Ingleson as Chief Operating Officer for APAC earlier this year, further enhancing the APAC leadership bench as the global Fintech leader continues to support APAC clients to grow their operations.

In early 2021, the firm also appointed Jerome Hoffman as Head of International Partnerships and Alliances, a newly created role that focuses on the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

Hoffman will be in charge of creating and further developing relationships with firms across the financial services spectrum, including technology vendors and service providers, consultancies, system integrators, market intermediaries and infrastructure providers, in the aforementioned regions.

Broadridge helps financial services clients in business transformation, revenue scaling, and reducing costs and operations complexity through the onboarding of new technologies, including The ABCDs of Innovation – AI, blockchain, the Cloud, and digital.
