Siepe, a trusted provider of technology, data, and analytics, has appointed Brian Shearer as Chief Product Officer. The incoming executive is a veteran with nearly 32 years of experience in the financial technology sector.
In his new role as Chief Product Officer, Brian will be responsible for leading Siepe’s overall product vision and spearheading development and innovation around the Company’s product suite. Before taking up his current role at the fintech firm, Mr. Shearer spent 17 years at Maverick Capital – a Texas-based investment management firm where he was Chief Information Officer.
As CPO at the firm, he played a key role in transforming the Company’s overall IT strategy and building the internal technology team. Prior to that, he was Chief Product Officer at Wealthmetrics, a financial services startup. During his term with Wealthmetrics Inc, he led the design and development of the firm’s product suite for financial institutions and their clients.
He also handled the firm’s overall strategy and product marketing approach. Some of the other notable roles he held include Director at SS&C Technologies and Shepro Braun Systems, where he was responsible for the Total Return portfolio accounting system. As senior director of product development at SS&C Tech, he handled the firm’s product design, development, quality assurance, release, and distribution operations.
Brian took on the role when SS&C Tech acquired Shepro Braun Systems, Inc in 1998 prior to which he held the role of director of product development at Shepro Braun Systems, Inc for six years. He began his career in the financial industry as a Systems Consultant at Price Waterhouse in 1989 long before its merger with Coopers & Lybrand which transformed it into one of the world’s big four accounting firms.
Siepe which currently has offices in Dallas, New York, and Ireland expands its presence in European markets in the year ahead which makes Brian’s appointment a crucial addition to the firm’s senior-level team.
