Boerse Stuttgart Digital Ventures Appoints Raphael Polansky as Board Member

Boerse Stuttgart Digital Ventures - Polansky Boerse Stuttgart Digital Ventures GmbH, the wholly owned subsidiary of Germany exchange operator Boerse Stuttgart revealed the appointment of new member to its management board in its latest announcement. As per statement released by the firm, it has appointed Mr. Raphael Polansky to serve as member of its management board effective from 1st of July 2020. The Digital ventures unit was established in 2017 and is responsible for developing innovative solutions to support OTC trading and exchange operations in fungible products. The firm primarily invests in promising start-ups and partners with select firms to implement its digitisation strategy. Before taking up his current role, Mr. Polansky was a part of Sowa Labs GmbH and Blocknox GmBH where he served in similar capacity as member of management board.

Both Sowa Labs and Blocknox are wholly owned subsidiaries of Boerse Stuttgart group. Raphael first joined the parent firm Boerse Stuttgart in September of 2018. He took on the role of Managing Director at Blocknox in March of 2019 and was promoted to the role of Chief Of Staff at the exchange operator in March of 2019. This is his third promotion since he joined the firm two years ago. Prior to this he served at Deutsche Borse as Senior VP, Head of trading Clearing & Data Controlling and Head of Group reporting. He began his career as a Controller at Bilfinger in September of 2007 and did his first rodeo at Deutsche Borse from 2009-15 in the roles of Financial Controller, Project Manager and CIO Executive Office. He then took a short break to establish Swapster GmbH before resuming his career at Deutsche Borse in February of 2016.

Commenting on Raphael’s addition to the management board, Alexander Hoptner – Chairman of Board of Management at Boerse Stuttgart GmbH said “Boerse Stuttgart Digital Ventures plays an important role for our growing digital business areas. Our goal is to create a global, end-to-end ecosystem for digital assets based on blockchain technology. We are pleased that Raphael Polansky will now contribute to this endeavour as Managing Director”.
