Clear Bank Appoints Two New Leadership Executives

ClearBank - Executives Clear Bank, the UK based clearing bank revealed the appointment of two new executives to its senior level leadership and management team. As per statement released by the firm, it has onboarded Mr. James Hopkinson and Mr. Stuart Morley to serve in the roles of its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Informational Officer respectively. Both the incoming executives are seasoned veterans with more than two decades of experience in financial services industry. James also takes on the role of Executive Director aside from role of CFO becoming a member of the firm’s executive committee. In his new role at the firm James is responsible for leading innovation across its financial operations and designing/leading the firm’s overall business strategy.

Before taking up his current role at the firm, James spent nearly two decades serving in Standard Chartered serving in numerous roles. James spent more than 18 years at Standard Chartered during which he served in roles of Chief Financial Officer – Regions & Clients, Global Head of Investor Relations, Board Member of Standard Chartered Bank Mauritius, Managing Director/Regional Head of Origination and Client Coverage, Regional Head of Audit – India, Analyst, Corporate and Institutional Banking. Prior to Standard Chartered, he served as Senior Tax Consultant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers for nearly four years. James succeeds Mr. March Jenkins as CFO while Mr. Jenkins takes on the role of head of Strategic Projects – a role focused o further development of the bank’s proposition and delivering value led services to its clients.

Mr. Stuart who takes on the role of Chief Information Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology across the bank and holds years of experience in dealing with technology focused roles in financial services sector. He most recently served as Technology Partner at Eight Roads prior to which he spent more than a decade at Fidelity International serving in wide range of roles. At Fidelity International, he was head of technology & COO business management units, Head of Technology, Global Central Functions and Business Management and Head of Technology – Asia/Global Central Functions and Innovation. Earlier in his career, he served as Head of technology Business Management for Investment Banking division at ABN AMRO Bank N.V.
