BGC Partners, the NASDAQ listed financial service provider well known for its wide range of brokerage services recently revealed the appointment of new CFO. As per update released by the firm, it has hired Mr. Steven Bisgay to replace its current interim Chief Financial Officer Mr. Sean A Windeatt. The move is expected to come into effect starting on 1st of January, 2020 post which Mr. Windeatt will go back to serving in just his original role of Chief Operating Officer. It should be noted that Mr. Windeatt who is currently serving as interim Chief Financial Officer was also a former employee of Cantor Fitzgerald where he served for nearly four years before taking on his current role of Chief Operating Officer at BGC partners nearly 18 years ago as per information in his LinkedIn profile. In his new role as CFO Mr. Bisgay is responsible for the firm’s financial operations including accounting, finance, regulatory reporting, treasury and more and will be reporting directly to Mr. Howard W.Lutnick – Chairman of the Board and CEO of BGC Partners.
The incoming executive Mr. Bisgay is a veteran with three decades of experience serving in some of USA’s market leading financial service providers. He has also served as an executive at pricewaterhousecoopers – one of the big four global auditing firms where he spent a better part of his early career. Mr. Bisgay started out as Senior Manger at PWC and remained as part of the auditing firm for nearly 12 years post which he moved on to serve at leading US brokerage related service providers. Post his brief term with PWC, he joined Knight Capital Group where he served for another 12 years during which he held multiple senior level leadership and management roles such as Managing Director of business development, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Since then he has served in role of similar capacity (Chief Financial Officer) at two other leading firms KCG Holdings Inc and Cantor Fitzgerald L.P.
Given his multi decade long experience across the three firms mentioned above he is an expert on wide range of brokerage related services such as market making, HFT, electronic execution, institutional sales for fixed income, equity and several other services for investment banks, prime brokerages and middle market services.

Aside from the appointment of Mr. Bisgay, the firm will also see two new executives join the firm starting next month in the role of Co-Heads of Global Brokerage – Anthony Warner & Julian Swain.
