BeQuant Launches Cryptocurrency Exchange for Institutional Money

BeQuant has officially launched its London-based cryptocurrency exchange developed by professionals for professionals. The operator is designed to support institutional trading as the emerging asset class increasingly makes a mark in Wall Street.

Multiexchange is the chosen technology provider to further establish BeQuant as a leading exchange in the cryptocurrency space offering access to real liquidity of over $150mln in average daily traded volume. The platform’s core matching engine features real-time clearing and cutting-edge order matching algorithms in order to appeal to market-makers, quantitative desks and active traders looking to connect via industry standard FIX or robust APIs.
Chief Executive Officer George Zarya aims to establish BeQuant as a leader in cryptocurrency compliance and Erik Wilgenhof Plante will be in charge of compliance as CCO. Plante helped Abu Dhabi to draft its cryptocurrency regulatory framework. He was Head of Compliance for itBit and PayPal.
