AxiTrader Hires Patrick Salis as CFO, Shifts Simon Hodgkiss to Newly Created CRO Role

AxiCorp, the Australia based retail fx brokerage group which operates the AxiTrader brand has announced a major management restructuring of personnel. The company has hired Patrick Salis as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) replacing longtime CFO Simon Hodgkiss. With this executive move, Simon Hodgkiss has been moved to lead the newly created regulatory focused role of Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

Patrick Salis is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia, he was working as an Independent Consultant, providing consultancy services related to financial technology and services. Mr Patrick is a well experienced and knowledgeable industry veteran and has been in leadership roles in several organisations. Before staring as an Independent Consultant, he was CFO and COO at ASX-listed broker technology solutions company GBST Holding Ltd and was also posted as CEO in their London office, spending almost 10 years with the company. Prior to this, he has held positions of CFO in Virgin Money Australia and JDV Limited.

Simon Hodgkiss, who has been moved to the newly created CRO position has been with the company for over 5 years. Previously he has held several leadership roles within IG Group in London and his last stint was in Melbourne, Australia. AxiCorp stated that the position was created in response to the large volume of regulatory and privacy law changes across the globe. The group has recently acquired licenses in the Dubai and New Zealand and is pending license approval in other regions as the company expands its global reach. The CRO role will primarily involve risk management frameworks then monitor the policies and procedures to ensure standards are fulfilled across the business.

Mr Yohannan further added:
