Anna Manz Joins LSEG as CFO

London Stock Exchange Group has had a busy month so far having replaced several of its key executives in top level management team. As part of the series of changes made to said team, latest announcement from the group revealed that it has hired Mrs. Anna Manz to serve as its new Chief Financial Officer succeeding Mr. David Warren effective from 21st November 2020. Mr. Warren announced his desire to retire from his roles in the firm in October last year with plans to step down from Board by end of this year. At time of joining the firm, Mrs. Manz will take on both the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Mr. Warren’s position in the board of directors as Executive Director. While Warren steps down as CFO, he will still remain with the group until 24th June 2021 in order to ensure smooth transition of power and responsibilities to his successor. In her new role as CFO and Executive Director, Anna is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the group including design of its financial planning and strategy. Anna will serve from the firm’s headquarters in London, UK and report directly to group CEO – David Schwimmer.

Anna is currently serving as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at Johnson Matthey Plc having been a part of the firm for nearly seven years. Prior to that, she served as a part of Diageo for more than seventeen years during which she held the numerous roles pertaining to financial aspects of the firm. Most recently, she served as Group Strategy Director and Chief Financial Officer for its Asia Pacific division. Prior to that she served in roles of Group treasurer, Director of Finance – Global Marketing & Sales/Ireland operations, VP of key US states, Planning/Reporting/Accounting/Control – North America and Financial Planning and Analysis Director – SE US. Anna started her career as USMDS Trainee at Unilever in 1997 and moved on to Diageo after serving in the firm for nearly two years. The statement also revealed that Mrs. Manz will receive a salary of 650,000 GBP & 10% of her salary as pension allowance. She is also eligible to participate in Group’s existing annual bonus plan with a target of 100% of her salary.

Commenting on Anna’s addition to the team, Mr. David Schwimmer said “We are delighted to welcome Anna to the Group. She brings deep financial and leadership experience from her career at major UK listed companies, driving strategic change and delivering value to shareholders, customers and other stakeholders. She will play a central role as the Group continues to develop and grow”. And added “I’d like to thank David Warren for his many contributions over a transformational eight year period. His leadership, partnership approach and professionalism will be missed”.
