Alchemy Markets, a leading international brokerage, has announced a partnership with the English Premier League football team Watford FC that includes appearances in backdrops of press meets and the club’s new LED digital boards on the periphery of the football pitch.
The broker is a UK-based company and this partnership with Watford would continue during this Premier League Season and also the FA Cup Matchdays. The brokerage has been pushing ahead with the mission of giving the retail and institutional traders around the globe a world-class platform on which they can trade with full regulation, security, and reliability as well. This sponsorship is the first big deal that they have done with a sports team and it continues the tradition of forex brokers tying up with football clubs as a means of increasing their branding and visibility.
Nick Kundnani, Director of Alchemy, said: “Becoming Watford Football Club’s official partner is a great thrill and responsibility. As global trading and investing platform, we’re excited for the opportunity to introduce trading to an enthusiastic audience.”
It has been noticed over the last few years that FX and crypto brokers seem to prefer to tie up with major sports teams around the world with some like FTX even choosing to tie up with esports teams as a way to catch the attention of their target market which is mainly male and those who like to take risks. This target set of clients seem to be lovers of sports as well and these kinds of partnerships have proved to be beneficial for the brokers and also for the clubs as well.
Paul O’Brien, Commercial Director of Watford FC, said: “We are delighted to announce Alchemy Markets as a global partner of the club. Alchemy is rapidly growing on a global scale, and we are excited to be on the journey with them. We pride ourselves at the football club on being innovative and thinking outside of the box, and we are delighted to partner with Alchemy, who share our values on innovation as well as hard work, desire, and quality.”
Recently we had reported that eToro had tied up with a Romanian football club and eToro has made it a practice over the last few years to launch partnerships with several sports teams especially across Europe and this trend seems to have caught on among the trading platforms.
