AffiniPay Embarks Next Growth Phase With New CTO And CEO

AffiniPay has appointed Bryan D. Thompson as Chief Technology Officer as the provider of online payments for professionals keeps expanding its footprint.

The fintech has been on Inc. Magazine’s Inc 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies in America for ten years in a row.

Bringing Bryan Thompson’s to the team will provide the firm with a new set of eyes with over 25 years of experience building financial services technology platforms, strategic product development, and running high-growth teams.

Prior to AffiniPay, he was Chief Technology Officer at Beyond Inc. for three years, where he spearheaded the launch of in-person, online, and mobile payment solutions. While there, the company went from startup to one of the fastest growing merchant service providers in the United States.

He was also Chief Technology Officer at Heartland Payment Systems, the fifth largest payments processor in the United States at the time, where he led a team of over 400 technology professionals that developed and operated Heartland’s core payments products.

Bryan Thompson, CTO of AffiniPay, said: “I am very excited to join AffiniPay at such an exciting growth period for the company. This is an opportunity to make a positive technology impact while working with a first class team committed to making a difference in consumers’ lives.”

AffiniPay is on track to process more than $13B in payments in 2021 as it retains market leadership in the legal, accounting, architectural, and associations markets.

Dru Armstrong, CEO of AffiniPay, said: “We are delighted to have Bryan join our talented team here at AffiniPay. Our priority is to surround ourselves with the best and push the mission forward for our customers. With Bryan’s experience and technology leadership, we will continue to evolve our platform and our product for our customers.”

AffiniPay hired Dru Armstrong as Chief Executive Officer in late July. Bringing over 17 years of experience in consumer and product technology development and management, she is a leader on topics including innovation, diversity and inclusion, and verticalized software.

The appointment of a new CEO and CTO in such a short span of time shows AffiniPay has opened a new chapter of growth and expansion and needed the right leadership for the challenge.

AffiniPay operates several brands, including LawPay for legal, CPACharge for CPAs, ClientPay for architects and AffiniPay for Associations serving associations.
