Trading.com Appoints FX Industry Veteran, Theofanis Pantelides as its Newest CIO

Trading.com, formerly known as Trading Point US Inc has hired FX industry veteran, Theofanis Pantelides in the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO). The information was disclosed by Theofanis Pantelides itself through his LinkedIn profile, and the appointment was made last month.

The appointment has been made at a crucial juncture when the company is preparing itself to enter the US FX market. Mr. Pantelides will play a key role in the management of the company and will lead to the development of the group’s technological capabilities in the US.

Mr. Pantelides has experience of over 16 years in the industry, mostly in similar roles and joins Trading.com from institutional trading platform provider Integral, where he served in various positions in his six years stay. Most recently at Integral, he has worked as manager of retail trading solutions, in which he was responsible for defining technical architecture and design for MetaTrader (MT4/MT5) solutions. 

Additionally, he has also worked with a privately held Cyprus based company, Wadja Media Limited and from July 2010 to August 2012, he has worked as an application developer with FxPro Financial Services. 

Saxo Bank Appoints Wendy Tao as New Head of Institutional Sales Manager for its Greater China Operations

Saxo Bank tradingCopenhagen-based multi-asset brokerage firm SAXO Bank, which turned its focus towards the Chinese market after the acquisition by Geely Group, has appointed a new Institutional Sales Manager for its Greater China operations. The group has Wendy Tao in the position and will be based in Shanghai City, China.

The appointment was made in December last month, according to information made public by Wendy Tao in LinkedIn. She is joining Saxo Bank from Invast Global, where she has worked for more than three years. In her own words, stated in her LinkedIn profile:

“Director of Multi-Asset Prime Brokerage Services with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. Skilled in Foreign Exchange (FX), Commodities, Equities, and CFDs. Strong finance professional graduated from the University of Sydney and Australian Graduate School of Management UNSW.”

At Invast Global, she was Director and Head of Prime Services for Asia and was based in Sydney and Hong Kong. She initially joined Invast Global as an Associate Director for Institutional Sales and Client Relationship in February of 2018. Prior to this, she has worked with PhillipCapital Australia.
