Stefanos Mitsi Appointed As Director of TIO Markets

TIO MarketsTIO Markets, the FCA regulated UK based forex brokerage subsidiary of Lausanne backed blockchain firm Trade.io recently revealed in an announcement stating that it had made a new addition to its top level management team. The Financial Conduct Authority licensed brokerage began its full fledged operations just earlier this year. According to the update released by the firm, it has now hired former Chief Executive Officer of BD Swiss, Mr. Stefanos Mitsi to serve as its Director. However, he has been a part of this firm since May of 2019 and has been serving in capacity of a consultant. Before joining TIO Markets, he served as Chief Executive Officer at BD Swiss Holdings Plc, a Cyprus based financial service provider famous for its binary options trading services from the firm’s Vienna office.

Before his term at Cy-SEC regulated trading service provider, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Iron FX Global UK Ltd and its FCA regulated UK subsidiary 8SAFE UK Ltd which was created post shifting most of its business operations elsewhere and renting out its leased premises. However, Stefanos joined the firm as a member of the parent firms’ Head of UK sales back in 2013 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of the group in December of 2016. Commenting on his new role at the firm, Stefanos Mitsi stated, “I’ve had the honour of consulting the TIO Markets team since the company officially launched in May, 2019. With each week that passes, we’re experiencing growth in every category, and I expect to see continued exponential growth in the near to long term”.

TIO Markets was created when Trade.io acquired UK based FCA regulated Primus Capital Markets in its bid to strengthen its presence and regulatory footprint in European markets. This acquisition enabled the blockchain firm to offer trading services in Forex and CFD assets alongside its existing cryptocurrency trading services which also effectively increased the firm’s product portfolio. Post acquisition and rebranding, the firm changed its forex subsidiary’s business operation model and is now offering FX monthly subscription packages replacing practise of ad hoc trading fees and brokerage commissions which were used by Primus Capital Markets. The firm currently offers nearly 130 forex and CFD instruments which is made up of Cryptocurrencies, precious metals, oil, commodities, indices and global equities. TIO Markets provides its clients with options to choose from three different trading platforms namely – MT4, MT5 and PAMM terminals.
