Patrick Strobel Becomes Chief Technology Officer at Liquidnet 

Patrick StrobelLiquidnet, US-based institutional trading and equities network provider has revealed in an announcement earlier this week that the firm now has a new Chief Technology Officer. As per the statement released by the firm, it has promoted one of its tech executives Mr. Patrick Strobel to take on the role. Patrick has been a part of the firm’s technology team since 2017 and was hired to oversee the firm’s tech affairs across EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) market region.

According to the update from the firm, he has now been promoted to the role of Chief Technology Officer becoming the head of the firm’s overall tech team. In his new role as Chief Technology Officer, Patrick is responsible for driving the firm’s software development roadmap, designing technology strategy and underpinning the firm’s efforts aimed at evolving its product portfolio. As the newly appointed Chief Technology Officer, Patrick is now in-charge of product development for three business verticals pursued by Liquidnet and is based out of the firm’s office in London. 

While one of the verticals is direct tech functions of Liquidnet, the other two verticals are stated to be his responsibility for aligning the firm’s technology offerings with institutional research provider RSRCHXchange & sentiment analysis start-up Prattle which were acquired by Liquidnet in recent past.

The new CTO is a veteran with two decades of experience in banking and IT space and has quite an impressive career record prior to joining Liquidnet as part of its Technology team. He began his career as Senior Consultant at Valtech in September of 1999 post graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Post spending nearly five years at Valtech, he joined JP Morgan where he served as Equities Programme Trading Global Development Lead for nearly 4 years and was responsible for the bank’s CHEOPS technology platform. He spent a major part of his career serving Germany based multinational banking giant Deutsche Bank where he held several high-level management roles for a wide range of the firm’s products and services.
