Simple, a Portland headquartered neobank revealed the appointment of a new VP at the firm in recent announcement. As per statement released by the firm, the neobank has onboarded Mr. Moin Moinuddin as its Vice President of Engineering division adding new member to its leadership team. In his new role, Mr. Moinuddin will be responsible for leading the firm’s engineering unit handling both product engineering and infrastructure related operations and services. The incoming executive is a veteran with twenty seven years of experience across tech sector having served in industry leading brands and is an expert in search and commerce technology and launch of new products and services. Before taking up his new role at Simple, Moin served as Product and Engineering leader at Tesla for nearly two and a half years and was in-charge of leading the firm’s global e-commerce, POS and Payments platform to enable worldwide frictionless commerce experience for Tesla’s customers.
Aside from his role at Tesla, for the last six years, he has been a part of payment product technology development firm he launched back in 2014 and continues to hold the role of Founding Director till date as per information in his LinkedIn account. He spent a major part of his career serving under Microsoft for nearly 11 years where he held key senior level leadership roles. His roles at Microsoft include – Director & Principal Group Manager for Product Management Payments division, General Manager and Solution Architect for Retail Payments. He has also served as Head of Global Payments at Dropbox for three years. Some of his other notable roles from early phase of career include – Program manager at Visa, Director of Quality Assurance and Testing at InfoSpace Inc and POS Software Development Manager at Progressive Software Inc. The newly appointed VP is expected to play a visibly influential role in the firm as the neobank continues to focus on creating an integrated and automated budgeting and banking experience that inspires financial confidence.
