ADSS - Khaldoun SharaihaADSS, an Abu-Dhabi based broker made an announcement earlier this week stating that it has appointed Khaldoun Sharaiha as its new Global Head of Sales. In his new role with the Middle Eastern broker Mr. Sharaiha is expected to help lead the firm’s efforts focused on further expansion in the Europe, Asia, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Mr. Sharaiha will also be in charge of client engagement and focus particularly on institutional clients and high-net-worth professional investors as per an announcement made by the firm. The move to appoint Khaldoun as head of global sales is said to be part of ADSS’s recently-launched five-year transformation strategy formed with intent to drive growth in its key markets. As part of this strategy, the company will further invest resources into developing technology and expertise.

Mr. Sharaiha replaces Jason Hughes as Global Head of Sales but Mr. Hughes will continue to remain a part of ADSS and will focus on supporting the business development aspects of its transformation strategy as per statement released by the firm. Mr. Hughes has been a part of ADSS for nearly three years now and took on the role of Global Head of Sales back in February of 2019 prior to which he served in the role of Global Head of Retail Sales for nearly one and a half years. However, it should be noted that this is not his first rodeo with the UAE based broker as he had previously served in the firm in capacity of Director for 4 years.

I look forward to contributing to ADSS’s development by exploring new market opportunities and enhancing our high-touch customer service levels”.

Commenting on the appointment, Mahmood Ebraheem Al Mahmood, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ADSS said in the statement: “ADSS will be investing to attract and retain the best talent in the industry in the coming years, as we set the benchmark for online brokerages in terms of client experience, breadth of offering, and effective use of technology. Khaldoun is joining ADSS at a promising time for our business, as ADSS builds on its leading position in the MENA region and expands its professional client base in Europe and fast-growing Asian markets. His deep knowledge of our industry and the markets we work in, as well as his track record leading teams through periods of growth and development, makes him the ideal person to support our ambitions”.
