CMC Markets, a UK based FCA regulated financial service provider recently revealed in an announcement several changes made to the firm’s top-level leadership and management team.
As per the statement released by the firm, it has appointed Mr. Euan Marshall its current Global Head of Finance to the role of Chief Finance Officer. However, it should be noted that Mr. Euan has been serving as interim CFO since the resignation of Mr. Grant Foley who resigned from the firm as Chief Finance Officer and Operating Officer back in April of this year.
Alongside the confirmation of his role as permanent Chief Finance Officer, the firm also revealed that Mr. Marshall is also appointed as a member of the firm’s board of directors. As per details in the statement, Euan’s appointment to his new roles will come into effect starting from 1st November 2019.
Meanwhile, Mr. Grant Foley who parted ways with the firm earlier this year has joined Note Machine, a renowned European ATM Operator in the role of CFO as per information in his LinkedIn profile. Mr. Foley had been a part of the UK based forex and CFD’s trading service provider for nearly six years having taken up his position at the board in 2013.
Mr. Marshall who is replacing Foley is also a long-standing member of the firm having originally joined the firm as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis back in November of 2011. He was then promoted to the role of head of Financial Control and FP&A back in February of 2013 which he held until his next promotion to Group Head of Finance in April 2016. During his term as Group head of finance, Mr. Marshall led the day to day activities of the finance functions and supported the CFO on projects and external relationships making him the ideal replacement for Mr. Foley.
The statement also revealed that it is adding Mr. Matthew Lewis, the Head of Asia Pacific & Canada at CMC Markets to its Board of Directors alongside Mr. Marshall and both their term as directors come into effect starting from 1st November 2019. While the decision to add Mr. Lewis to its Board of Directors was made way back in April, the announcement was just made public as the appointment was subject to regulatory approval.
Commenting on additions made the firm’s board, Peter Cruddas, Chief Executive Officer of the firm commented, “I am delighted that Euan and Matthew are joining the Board of CMC. Euan has been with CMC for eight years, most recently as Group Head of Finance, and has made a significant contribution since taking up the interim CFO role in June this year. Matthew was instrumental in leading CMC’s transformational partnership with ANZ Bank and both he and Euan will play key roles in our strategic plans to grow and diversify the business”.
