The London-based technology firm Hudson Fintech launched its new front office technology platform for sell-side and buy-side institutions trading in the Repo markets which supports all aspects of Repo trading and has been developed to offer clients maximum flexibility, increased customization, and faster release cycles. The platform allows future expansion to support multiple asset types and business lines.

Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR), effective in Q2 2020, is part of the European Union’s implementation of the global effort to regulate shadow banking and increase transparency in the securities finance markets. The SFTR requires firms to solve questions around areas such as data sources, exception management flows (including counterparty interaction), and reporting vendor services.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, today announced that Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (SEB) has selected its multi-award winning Global Trade Repository (GTR) service in order to meet their regulatory obligations under the Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR), which is expected to apply from April 2020.
