Japanese Broker Kabu Makes Changes to Board Members

As per a recent announcement made by Japan-based retail broker Kabu, it has made changes to its high-level management team which is set to come into effect starting this August. As per the announcement, two of its Board of Directors will change effective on 01.08.2019. Osamu Kurokawa who is currently serving in the role of Vice President of General Business, Human Resources and Sales will now move away from Human Resource department and just serve in the capacity of VP of General Business and Sales division.

President Ueli Maurer meets Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzō Abe and represents Switzerland at G20 meeting of finance ministers

Bern, 10.06.2019 – President Ueli Maurer was received by Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzō Abe on 10 June 2019. The discussion was dedicated to the long-standing, excellent relations between Switzerland and Japan. In addition to regional topics, the central challenges for the global financial and economic system, which President Maurer addressed at the weekend meeting of the G20 meeting Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in Fukuoka, were also discussed.

CFTC Issues Amended Margin Comparability Determination for Japan

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today unanimously approved an amended comparability determination that would extend the substituted compliance permitted for Japan’s margin requirements for uncleared swaps as compared to the uncleared swap margin provisions of Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act) and CFTC regulations.  

Hopes on Trade Truce Extension Drives Markets
