Investopedia.com Hires James Chen to the Role of Director, Trading and Investment

InvestopediaInvestopedia.com has hired popular Fx research analyst and longtime Head of Research at Forex.com, James Chen to the role of Director, Trading and Investment. 

Operational since 1999 Investopedia.com is based in New York. The website is like a financial encyclopedia that deals with finance and economy-related subjects. Till now, it has gone through several ownership changes including Forbes in 2007, then ValueClick in 2010 for $42 million and then sold to IAC/InterActive Corp  (NASDAQ: IAC) in 2013 for $80 million.

Mr Chen’s role will include direction of the website’s research and education products. Chen is based in New York and is considered a very knowledgeable person in the Fx trading circuit and has been in the sphere since 2000. Me Chen has been in the role of Head of Research at Forex.com, the retail fx unit of GAIN Capital Holdings Inc (NYSE: GCAP) for the past two years. 

Forex.comMr Chen joined the company as a part of GAIN Capital’s acquisition of UK online broker City Index, where he was in the role of Chief Technical Market Strategist since 2012. Before joining City Index, he has worked as a senior analyst at GFT Markets, FX Solutions, and FXDD. He has also authored two books on the forex market, “Essentials of Foreign Exchange Trading” and “Essentials of Technical Analysis for Financial Markets”.

He has also been interviewed and quoted multiple times by some of the leading financial media houses like Bloomberg TV, Reuters News, Forbes, International Business Times and International Herald Tribune.
