Gemini Partners With Ethernet Network BSO to Deliver Crypto Exchange Connectivity

Ethernet Network BSOThe leading cryptocurrency exchange and custodian has partnered with BSO to offer the firm’s Crypto Connect network, which provides specialist solutions for both institutional clients, who require the same high-quality access to Gemini as they do for other traditional asset class exchanges, as well as the demanding crypto community.

The award-winning Ethernet network delivers guaranteed latency on layer two backbone with high security and enables Public cloud & private infrastructures inter-connectivity over 240 PoPs via its private, internet avoiding, dedicated & guaranteed latency backbone worldwide. Gemini has become a preferred partner on the BSO Crypto Connect solution.

The firm has most recently partnered with Avelacom to increase connectivity options for Gemini, having been added to the list of crypto vendors in Equinix’s NY5 data center. Avelacom’s network
includes all major crypto exchange destinations such as New York as well as Dublin, Frankfurt, Zurich, San Jose, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Seoul. This will help Gemini clients to obtain connectivity to the best crypto markets in the world at the lowest latency possible. Round-trip latency from Tokyo’s markets to Gemini is just 136ms.

In March 2019, the firm joined the BT Radianz Cloud in order to tap its global market reach and ability to scale with a commercial structure familiar to large institutions.

The New York-based Gemini is the cryptocurrency exchange, and custodian led by the Winklevoss brothers was founded in 2014. The firm holds a ‘BitLicense’ from the New York State Department. In 2018, Gemini partnered with Nasdaq to get its hands on its SMARTS Market Surveillance service, which automatically detects any possible price manipulation or other illicit activities.
