Wedbush Securities, a California based investment and financial service provider recently revealed the appointment of new Managing Director at the firm. The statement released by firm earlier this week revealed that it had promoted Mr. Francis Paulino from Senior Vice President to Managing Director of Investment Banking unit. In his new role as Managing Director, Francis is expected to lead the firm’s mobile capital formation business which handles at the market offerings and stocks repurchase programs. In his new role as Managing Director, Francis will continue to serve from the firm’s New York officer where he is currently stationed and will report to Mr. Burke Dempsey – Executive Vice President and Head of Investment Banking division. As per statement, Francis for selected for the role of Managing Director as his skill set made him highly compatible with Wedbush’s processing infrastructure and desire to offer clients best execution service at low cost.
Francis joined the firm back in December of 2016 as Senior Vice President of Investment banking division and has held the role for more than three years now. Francis is a financial services industry veteran with more than two decades of experience and is an expert in operations surrounding market centers, exchanges, broker dealers, market structure, accounting, finance and technology. Prior to joining Wedbush securities, he served in role of Managing member at Tainos Financial Consulting for two years during which he provided advisory services in investment banking, finance, accounting, FINRA compliance and SEC regulatory advisory services. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President at National Stock Exchange and President of NSX Securities for nearly five years.
Some of his other notable senior level leadership and management roles include – Vice President of Investment Banking at Cantor Fitzgerald, Vice President of American Stock Exchange, Chief Compliance Officer for Seamount Execution Services at ASX and Floor Operations Supervisor at Euronext now a merged entity with NYSE. He began his career in financial services industry as a Transaction Services Analyst at Datek Online and served in the role for nearly three years post which he held the role of Business Analyst at UBS Investment bank for one and half year before moving on to Euronext.
