J.P. Morgan to Launch FX Trading and Pricing Engine in Singapore

It will be J.P. Morgan’s fourth electronic FX trading infrastructure globally that allows clients to conduct FX transactions effectively according to their geographical locations, adding to its existing platforms in New York, London, and Tokyo.

J.P. Morgan is set to establish an electronic FX trading and pricing engine in Singapore, scheduled to launch in early 2020, with support from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Citigroup to Restructure Its FX Business Operations

US-based multinational investment banking and financial service provider Citigroup Inc recently made an announcement revealing its plans to merge two of its Forex related business operations into one single business operation. The banking giant announced that the decision to merge two units was agreed upon post its recent enterprise-wide review owing to a series of consumer scandals and as some of its business ventures failed to meet expected targets.

JP Morgan Appoints David Xu as Head of Chinese Equities

As per recent update found in Reuters website, JP Morgan has appointed David Xu as the Head and Managing Director of its Chinese equities business division. As per the update, David Xu will be placed in the firm’s Shanghai office and will report to Ryan Holsheimer – current head of cash equity sales and trading for Asia-Pacific region at JP Morgan.

Nikkei Outperforms, Traders Eye more US Earnings

Asian stocks finished in positive tones to the highest level in nine months, as investors follow the gains from Wall Street indices on Friday helped by the upbeat beginning of the US earning season by JP Morgan and Wells Fargo. In Japan, the Nikkei225 main index added 1.37 percent to 22,169 the highest since December 4th, 2018. The Hang Seng benchmark in Hong Kong finished 0.02 percent higher at 29,914.
