SGX launches ETF tracking APAC financial sector

“With a focus on 30 of the most actively traded financial institutions, this ETF allows investors to ride on the strength of Asia Pacific’s financial sector, and enjoy stable and high dividend returns.”

SGX Securities has announced the listing of Lion-OCBC Securities APAC Financials Dividend Plus ETF, which follows the performance of 30 of the largest financial institutions listed in Asia Pacific – tracked by the iEdge APAC Financials Dividend Plus Index.

According to the SGX Group, this fund is the first ETF tracking Asia Pacific’s financial sector, and has assets under management (AUM) of S$47 million at launch.

With this new listing, the exchange group’s listed ETFs collectively represent a total AUM of S$11 billion as of end April 2024.

Behind the decision of launching an ETF tracking the Asia Pacific financial sector is the awareness that the financial services sector in this region is primed for growth with increasing economic integration and rising middle-class affluence.
