FCA-regulated prime brokerage and execution venue iSAM Securities has expanded its global e-Trading team with fresh key hires to ensure seamless trading operations across different time zones.
The new additions include the appointment of James Gavin to the London office, and Nathalie Bijlsma and Richie Westerlind to the Florida office.
James Gavin, who spent five years in eFX trading at Standard Chartered Bank, is joining to help expand iSAM’s product offerings and client base. Gavin said in a corporate statement that he is eager to build on existing client relationships and develop new ones.
“After meeting with the key stakeholders at iSAM Securities, I am incredibly excited about its growth trajectory. Having worked with numerous clients in my previous role, I intend to build on these relationships and develop new ones by leveraging my experience of institutional business to ensure that we offer a relevant and consistent service to clients,” he added.
Meanwhile, Richie Westerlind brings extensive experience in risk management from his roles at HedgeMark International, LLC, and Citi. His background includes FX prime brokerage, fixed income prime brokerage, futures, and OTC derivatives. Westerlind sees his new role as an opportunity to leverage his skills in a growing business and contribute to iSAM Securities’ franchise.

Among the new hires is Nathalie Bijlsma, whose background includes an MSc in Finance & Investments and a 7-year career as a retail trader and investor. She was particularly excited about the company’s approach to combining finance and technology.
