GCEX has announced the appointment of Jonathan Brewer as Chief Revenue Officer in a significant move aimed at driving growth from institutional and professional clients across all entities including the UK, Denmark, and UAE.
The UK-based industry veteran, widely known as the co-founder of prime brokerage services provider IS Prime, will work closely with Lars Holst, Founder & CEO on GCEX’s growth strategy.

Jonathan Brewer, from IS Prime to GCEX
Jonathan Brewer has a strong track record of success in growing electronic trading businesses and an in-depth understanding of the liquidity and technology requirements of institutional clients worldwide.
As the Co-Founder/Managing Partner of IS Prime and Commercial Director of ISAM Capital Markets, Jonathan Brewer played a key role in founding, building, and scaling the firm.
Prior to co-founding IS Prime, his career spanned over a decade of senior sales and management roles at Goldman Sachs and Sucden Financial, with a focus on e-FX solutions.
It was in early 2023 that Jonathan Brewer and Raj Sitlani left IS Prime, the firm they co-founded in 2014 to provide FCA-regulated brokerage and execution services powered by proprietary technology, with aggregated pricing sourced primarily from Tier One institutions, settled through the group’s bank Prime Brokers. The FCA-authorized Prime of Prime broker is a subsidiary of iSAM Securities. At the time, Brewer said, “Both Raj and I are ready to focus on the next chapters in our lives.” GCEX is the next chapter of his life.
