CFI Financial sponsors Mubadala Tennis Championship

CFI Financial Group, a multi-regulated FX and CFDs brokerage firm, has taken another leap in expanding its client base through a new partnership with the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.

The Mubadala World Tennis Championship is returning from 16-18 December 2022 at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi. The 2022 edition will see World No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz, making his Middle East debut, alongside the French and US Open finalist, Casper Ruud, defending Champion, Andrey Rublev, and US Open semi-finalist, Frances Tiafoe.

The move is in line with CFI’s past efforts to increase brand awareness, and aims to continue its search for new opportunities to further enhance its presence in the online trading industry. CFI Financial already has several partnerships across the Middle East region.

Earlier this year, the broker signed a deal to become a major sponsor of the Lebanese Basketball Federation, the governing body for the sport of basketball in Lebanon. The federation was founded in 1947 and represents basketball with public authorities as well as with national and international sports organizations.

Sports sponsorship have long been a way for businesses to extend their global reach. In recent months, there were also numerous sponsorship deals connected with lower-profile sports, including chess and e-sports.

These deals are also more standard sponsorship deals with more widely followed sports, such as football and rugby.

Since this practice has been established as a trend, sports sponsorships, especially of popular sports celebrities, are still a preferred marketing strategy by brokers operating in the online retail Forex and crypto business.

Regarding how effective such sponsorships are, it may be difficult sometimes to track related metrics in order to measure the results and overall campaign success. Nonetheless, there are almost always intangible benefits, that cannot necessarily be measured but nonetheless affect the bottom-line.

In addition, such sponsorships are often a mutually beneficial partnership. The sponsored star gains financial benefits, which could prove to be an alternative income source, especially with increasing numbers of big sponsors reducing the scope of their activities. At the same time, brokers benefit from raising brand awareness and exposure while conveying a message of strength to existing and prospective customers.
