Bitrue launches venture capital arm: up to $200k per Web3 project

Bitrue Ventures will be present at booth #918 at the upcoming Consensus 2024 conference in Austin, Texas from May 29-31.

Bitrue has announced the launch of a brand new investment arm to leverage its six years of operating as a cryptocurrency exchange to help startups reach product maturation, including capital investment, incubation advice, product development expertise, marketing support, industry connections, and more.

Going by the name of Bitrue Ventures, the new investment fund has been established in response to an elevated influx of capital into the industry from institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals.

“It can be difficult for investors to identify valuable projects”

Bitrue Ventures is ready to invest capital starting from $50,000 – $200,000 per project, depending on their needs, with no limits to the number of projects that may be invested in. Projects that successfully launch a product will also be able to list their tokens on the Bitrue exchange, with 10 million users, and utilize their integrated marketing services.

The venture fund plans to scout projects across all web3 sub-industries for investment potential, with an initial focus on AI and RWA projects. A pilot investment round has already been completed with funding allocated to the Cardano-based projects WingRiders and Liqwid Finance.

Iris Chu, Director of Ventures and Partnerships, said: “The smart money is moving into web3, but with high technical barriers to understanding and with market attention moving between trends at a rapid pace, it can be difficult for investors to identify the projects that have the potential to deliver real value. Bitrue Ventures will leverage the extensive technical and market expertise of the exchange to not only spot high-potential projects at an early stage but also provide them with all the resources they need to ensure they reach the product launch phase and become successful companies.”

Bitrue Ventures welcomes interest parties to contact [email protected] to discuss partnerships. The venture capital arm will also be present at booth #918 at the upcoming Consensus 2024 conference in Austin, Texas from May 29-31.

Bitrue promoted Shruti Kohli as Head of International Business Development

Last month, cryptocurrency exchange Bitrue named Shruti Kohli as the new Head of International Business Development as it seeks to amplify its global partnership momentum.

Kohli first joined the company in December 2021 as a Business Development Manager at Bitrue. Since her arrival, she led many initiatives that enhanced Bitrue’s partnerships, especially within the Cardano, XRPL, and Polygon ecosystems. She also helped ink relationships with key players in the industry, such as Polygon, Harmony, ICP, Mantle, Avalanche, XDC, Injective, and Klaytn, with her first partnership outreach with Insur.

In her new role, Kohli will focus on identifying new opportunities for geographic expansion into emerging markets and establishing collaborations with various stakeholders, including foundations, Layer 2 solutions, Venture capital firms, and market makers.

Bitrue has a history of prioritizing collaborations with web3 entities and has established ties with Ripple, Cardano, XDC, among others. With nearly six years of operation and over 10 million registered users, Bitrue is a popular Asian cryptocurrency exchange that has been in operation since 2018. The Singaporean centralized platform is a diverse platform that supports spot and futures trading, crypto loans, and high-interest yield farming and staking.
