Marex Spectron, a leading UK based commodities brokerage revealed the appointment of Mr. Thomas Texier as its new Head of Clearing Services unit. This move as per statement released by the firm is made as part of its efforts to accelerate the expansion of its clearing business in global market. In his new role at the firm, Texier will be responsible for efforts focusing on expansion of its business across wider global market and expanding its business across different sectors while at the same time overseeing the daily operations of its global clearing services. The incoming executive is a veteran with more than 24 years of experience in financial services sector a majority of which he spent serving in key leadership and managerial roles across industry leading firms.
Most recently he had been a part of R.J. O’Brian & Associated – one of the biggest independent futures brokerage and clearing services provider in U.S. However, Thomas served at the firm’s London office and served as Managing Director for the last three and a half years. Before that he served as its Chief Operating Officer having taken up the role when he joined the firm in April of 2015. Some of his other notable roles include – Chief Operating Officer at Kyte Group, Deputy General Manager at Societe Generale for its North Pacific & Tokyo units and Operation Manager at FCT Europe Limited. Thomas began his career in financial services industry as a Risk Analyst at Fimat in January of 1996 after graduating from Kedge Business School.
