ISAM Securities Moves Barry Flanigan To Hong Kong As Head Of APAC

iSAM Securities has announced the reappointment of Barry Flanigan, former Head of e-Trading, to the Hong Kong office, where he will assume the role of Head of Asia Pacific at iSAM Securities.

iSAM Securities is a leading algorithmic trading firm and trusted electronic market maker, providing liquidity, technology, and prime services partner to institutional clients and trading venues globally.

Regulated by the FCA, SFC, and CTFC, and CIMA registered, the firm offers full-service prime brokerage and execution via its cutting-edge proprietary technology, as well as analytics, cleared through the group’s bank Prime Brokers.

Barry Flanigan was Head of e-Trading

Barry Flanigan first joined iSAM group in 2009 as an Operations Analyst based in Cape Town, South Africa. The Systematic Hedge Fund parent company of iSAM Securities then moved him to London, where he ultimately focused on FX operation and integration.

Seeing potential in replicating iSAM’s success from the buy side, iSAM Securities was launched in 2013 and Barry Flanigan became an integral part of it, across a variety of roles including Head of Distribution and Liquidity and, most recently, Head of Electronic Trading.

At iSAM Securities, Barry leveraged the systematic trading DNA of ISAM Group to deliver sophisticated trading solutions to clients, harnessing its proprietary high-performance technology. This means utilizing institutional, hedge fund-grade products to support retail brokers.

“For a long time we’ve wanted to focus on growth and potentials in Asia”

Alex Lowe, Managing Director of iSAM, commented: “Placing a key partner who has been with us for the entire growth of iSAM reflects our commitment to global expansion. It strengthens our ability to represent and support the growth of the Asia-Pacific region, both for Securities and the wider iSAM franchise.”

“For a long time we’ve wanted to focus on growth and potentials in Asia. We have a high calibre of resources, complimented by a sophisticated client base. Transitioning from London to lead in Asia-Pacific emphasises the focus on strong leadership in this increasingly vital market,” said Barry Flanigan.
