The charges leveled against Chrzanowski is for demanding a multi-million dollar bribe from a bank however the PAP news agency said that Chrzanowski denied the accusations and has stepped down out of “a sense of responsibility for the functioning of regulatory supervision over the financial sector”.
Prof. Jastrzębski is known top law professional in Poland with a strong reputation in the country. He has been both a graduate and professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He has studied at Warsaw School of Economics and graduated from the law programme LL.M from the University of California, Berkeley. In his professional career, he has worked in civil law, criminal law and law of the financial market. He has co-authored 80 scientific publications and has delivered lectures at numerous national and international conferences.
