Asian stocks finished lower today as U.S President Trump announced that the US will impose a 10.0% tariff on the remaining $300.0bn-worth of Chinese products. The Nikkei225 ended 2.11 percent lower at 21,087, the Hang Seng finished 2.35 percent lower at 26,918. The Shanghai Composite ended 1.41 percent lower to 2,867, while in Singapore, the FTSE Straits Times index finished 0,93 percent lower to 3,261. Australian equities also ended lower, the ASX 200 finished 0.30% lower to 6,768.

Asian indices finished higher today as Fed’s Jerome Powell testimony opens the way for an interest rate cut in the next policy meeting. The Nikkei225 finished 0.51 percent higher at 21,643 the Hang Seng finished 0.81 percent higher at 28,431. The Shanghai Composite finished 0.08 percent higher to 2,917, while in Singapore, the FTSE Straits Times index finished 0.3 percent higher to 3,350.

Asian indices finished lower today as investors turn cautious after better NFP data from the USA last Friday. The Nikkei225 finished 0.98 percent higher at 21,534 the Hang Seng slipped 1.54 percent at 28,331. The Shanghai Composite finished 2.58 percent lower to 2,933, while in Singapore, the FTSE Straits Times index finished 0.92 percent lower to 3,334. Australian equities finished 1.2 percent lower at 6,672.

Asian indices finished lower today as investors focus turn to G20 meeting which started in Osaka, Japan. The Nikkei225 finished 0.29 percent lower to 21,275, the Hang Seng benchmark in Hong Kong finished 0.28 percent lower at 28,542. The Shanghai Composite finished 0.28 percent lower to 2,978, while in Singapore, the FTSE Straits Times index finished 0.21 percent lower to 3,321. Australian equities ended weaker on Friday by 47.5 points or 0.7% to 6618.

The Nikkei225 finished 1.00 percent higher to 21,297 the Hang Seng benchmark in Hong Kong, finished 0.03 percent higher at 28,510. The Shanghai Composite finished 0.71 percent higher to 2,997, while in Singapore the FTSE Straits Times index finished 0.67 percent higher to 3,323. Australian equities snapped the two-day losing streak to end the session at intraday highs ahead of tomorrow’s G20 Summit in Japan. The ASX200 rose by 0.39 percent to 6666.3.
