Invast Global hires Melissa Downes as Global Head of Marketing

Invast Global has announced the appointment of Melissa Downes as the new Global Head of Marketing, joining from BT where she was a Senior Marketing Manager in the Customer Experience and Growth team.

With a track record in stakeholder management, risk, regulatory, comms, and segmentation, Melissa Downes’ core strengths include an ability to focus on leveraging business strengths, finding insights, and developing customer-centric marketing.

This combined with her previous marketing and financial services experience will allow Melissa to play a key role in Invast Global’s growth into the future.”

The new head of marketing joins Invast Global from BT, but prior to that she was a Senior Marketing Consultant at MLC, where she led the Annual Member Meeting across four RSE’s while also delivering strategy, pitches, and tools for the Workplace Super team and managing B2B marketing for their top 300 business partners.

She has previously worked as Communications and Marketing Manager at at ANZ Wealth, where she partnered with sales and business development managers to develop campaigns, lead marketing management, programs strategy and comms and managed the communications to 16500 financial advisers. She also edited APEXInsights, the source of educational and inspirational articles for financial advisers.

 

The Prime of Prime broker has recently hired Charl de Vleeschauwer as Managing Director, Global Head of Electronic Trading and Execution.

Charl de Vleeschauwer joined Invast after 20 years in the FX industry, most recently at BNY Mellon, where he was Head of Electronic Markets, FX and G10 Trading for the APAC region.

Prior to that, he was Director, Fixed Income & Commodities at Citi based in Sydney and had full responsibility for the firm’s entire FX exposure. Other roles include big names such as Macquarie and Deutsche Bank.
