E*TRADE From Morgan Stanley Launches Power E*TRADE Pro, A Desktop Platform For Active Traders

E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley has introduced Power ETRADE Pro, a desktop trading platform developed specifically for active traders. The launch expands E*TRADE’s suite of web and mobile platforms with a desktop offering that prioritizes speed, flexibility, and multi-monitor setup capabilities.

The platform supports up to six customizable workspaces and allows traders to run 20 tools per workspace, resulting in up to 120 charts across multiple screens. Power E*TRADE Pro also includes advanced trading tools for equities, options, and futures, Level II market data for stocks, options, and ETFs, and customizable market screeners and scanners.

“Setup and speed are high priorities when executing complex trading strategies”

Chad Turner, Head of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Platforms, commented, “With a long tradition of being the home for active traders, we understand deeply that setup and speed are high priorities when executing complex trading strategies. Power E*TRADE Pro was built from the ground up to be best in class, leveraging continuous client feedback, modern architecture, and the most advanced trading tools available for retail traders.”

Traders can analyze symbols across charts with linked windows and draw comparisons across multiple time frames and markets using more than 120 technical studies and 30 drawing tools. The platform also includes features to automatically detect and display technical patterns.

Power ETRADE Pro complements the broker’s existing web-based and mobile offerings, including etrade.com, the Power ETRADE web platform, and E*TRADE’s mobile apps. The release follows a 26% year-over-year increase in self-directed daily average revenue trades, as reported in Morgan Stanley’s second-quarter 2025 earnings.

Vince Lumia, Head of Wealth Management Client Segments at Morgan Stanley, said, “We continue to add to our suite of innovative digital and advice-based solutions to meet investors wherever they are in their financial journey. E*TRADE has a storied history in delivering industry-leading digital experiences and is a core channel in our wealth management universe.”

E*Trade to add crypto offering in 2026

Morgan Stanley is reportedly preparing to offer cryptocurrency trading through its E*Trade platform by 2026. While the plan is still in early development, sources familiar with the matter said the banking giant is evaluating partnerships with established crypto companies to build out the service. Internal talks around integrating digital assets into E*Trade began in late 2024.
