Devexperts hires Mario Volpe as VP of business development

Technology provider Devexperts has appointed Mario Volpe as its newest vice president of business development, effective immediately.

Mario brings to the role more than 12 years of experience spanning a distinguished career in the financial industry. Most recently, he spent nearly three years at market data provider dxFeed, where led its sales teams for the DACH region and Italy. The company is a daughter company of trading technology provider, Devexperts.

dxFeed is specializing in providing data on equity options, equities, futures, indices, mutual funds and FX from multiple exchanges worldwide.

Mario started as a financial analyst and author at German broker BörseGo AG (now stock3.com). Then, he held positions of a portfolio manager at Landesbank Berlin Investment, a financial market advisor at nextmarkets GmbH between 2012 and 2015.

Other stops include working as a development manager for the German DACH-Region at TradingView. Later he was promoted to TradingView’s growth director in Germany.

“During his tenure at these companies, Mario identified and secured new business opportunities, built partnerships, and drove revenue growth. He successfully closed deals with numerous industry-leading firms such as Swissquote, WH-Selfinvest, Deutsche Börse, BitPanda, Finanzen-Zero, Eurex, and BD Swiss,” the company said in a statement.

In his new role, Mario will help Devexperts promote DXtrade as a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) product, specifically designed for the retail FX and CFD industry. The global financial software provider has recently expanded the platform features to provide both broker clients and traders with a revamped web UX/UI, new functionality for subscription management, ex-dividends, and cash movements, among many others.

DXtrade launched in May 2020 and managed within such a short period to onboard major names onto the trading platform as liquidity providers. The white-labeled solution offers brokers’ dealers and administrators many of the benefits available from existing bespoke platforms, but with the efficiency of a customizable backend to help set up risk management or segment their traders.

Brokers are also able to determine everything related to the layout and set-up, including the back-end configurations and user interface. They also benefit from ex-dividends and cash movements widgets alongside management of subscription to 3rd-party services. These built-in tools add a higher degree of automation and customisation to allow brokers to enhance the user experience, improve both client acquisition and retention, as well as create custom offerings for multiple client segments.

“Mario’s extensive experience has allowed him to build key relationships across the German-speaking area. This will be indispensable for Devexperts to continue developing valuable partnerships. We are confident that Mario is the right person to propel our business development strategies and achieve our goals,” Devexperts concludes.
