Municipal issuers hold retail order periods to prioritize the sale of bonds to retail investors, typically providing retail investors the first chance to obtain bonds in a primary offering.

Rosie Allan, FINRA’s Senior Director for Organization Development was the latest guest on FINRA’s podcast Unscripted.
In her role, Allan noted that she is charged with developing a framework for FINRA’s values which she described with four pillars: collaboration, expertise, innovation, and responsibility.

“On August 9, 2019, the Committee issued a complaint against Wells Fargo, a provisionally registered swap dealer and NFA member with its main office located in San Francisco, California. The complaint alleges Wells Fargo violated NFA Compliance Rule 2-49 (a) by failing to communicate with a counterparty in a fair and balanced manner as required under Commodities Futures Trading Commission Regulation 23.433,” the decision stated.
