Bybit Completes $CATI Airdrop Distribution, First Exchange To Do So

Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has completed the distribution of Catizen ($CATI) tokens through an airdrop.

The listing went live today at 10 AM Dubai time, making Bybit the first exchange to finalize the airdrop distribution for the native token of the Telegram-based tap-to-earn game Catizen.

The Catizen team noted that the current airdrop is part of a larger allocation of 340 million CATI tokens, with the remaining 190 million tokens set aside for future quarterly airdrop campaigns.

According to data from the TON blockchain explorer, roughly 17.7 million CATI tokens were transferred from the official CATI address to Bybit for the airdrop. The exchange ensured a smooth trading environment for users, with the opening price of CATI remaining steady at $0.97.

Bybit said that technical infrastructure played a key role in the “secure and efficient” handling of the airdrop and listing process. The completion of this distribution reflects the platform’s ability to handle such operations while maintaining stable performance and security standards, it said in a press release.

Catizen is one of the trending Web 3 projects currently available as a mini app on the platform. The play-to-earn crypto project has attracted over 34 million players and generated about $26 million in revenue through In-app purchases.

Its native toke, CATI, has gone live for trading, starting with an initial supply of 150 million tokens, which is 15% of the total 1 billion supply. Following a two-month delay, the platform conducted a community airdrop as part of the Season 1 distribution.

CATI tokens are now available for trading on multiple crypto exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, and Bitget. Deposits for CATI into non-custodial wallets began yesterday, with tokens distributed to eligible participants based on their in-game activity.

To mine Catizen tokens, players must interact with the project through its Telegram mini app. Players earn rewards by completing tasks, upgrading their cities, and engaging in community activities. These efforts are rewarded with in-game currencies, Fish and vKitty, which can later be converted into CATI tokens.

Players can boost their earnings by completing more tasks, inviting friends to join the Catizen project, and participating in various in-game events.
