ASX appoints Jane Franks as its Chief People Officer to reshape culture

The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has announced the appointment of Jane Franks as its Chief People Officer (CPO), effective from Monday, November 13. This strategic move underscores ASX’s commitment to its people and culture, aligning with the organization’s vision and five-year strategy.

In her new role, Ms. Franks will take the helm of the People and Culture function, steering the transformation of ASX’s culture, enhancing capabilities, and devising people strategies that will propel the organization into the future.

Her responsibilities will span performance management, compensation and benefit structures, HR policies and systems, leadership and talent programs, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Ms. Franks comes to ASX with a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Chief People Officer at Blackmores, an ASX-listed healthcare company, since 2018. During her tenure at Blackmores, she spearheaded a program aimed at transforming capability and culture. This initiative resulted in the establishment of new talent, reward, and leadership frameworks, improved engagement and leadership indices, and accelerated diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging practices across 13 markets.

Before her time at Blackmores, Ms. Franks held various leadership roles in human resources within the financial services sector, including serving as HR Director (ANZ) for Diageo. She also held senior positions with Westpac Group, including General Manager, HR for Westpac Group and BT Financial Group, Chief of Staff for Westpac’s Retail and Business Bank, and Group Head of Employee Advocacy for Westpac.

Ms. Franks’ extensive experience in driving cultural and organizational transformation, combined with her commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment, makes her a valuable addition to ASX’s leadership team. Her appointment signals ASX’s dedication to nurturing a workforce that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and values.
